Your physical body isn’t just flesh and bones; it’s your vessel for energy, a vital tool that connects you to your emotional, mental, and spiritual self. When your body is thriving, energy flows effortlessly, clarity sharpens, and your spiritual connection deepens. But when your physical health is neglected, that flow becomes obstructed, leading to stagnation, disconnection, and often, emotional or spiritual challenges.
Looking After Your Physical Health is One of the Most Spiritual Things You Can Do
I know this first-hand.
Physical health has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve trained like an athlete since I was 14, even training for the Olympics at one point. I thrived on routine, discipline and movement; sometimes to my detriment. 4.30am wake up calls so I could be the first in the gym, sleep deprivation and caffeine-fuelled workouts; my body was in a state of stress all the time - not to mention the mental stress from work.
Everything shifted during two years of traveling. Without a routine, I slipped into unhealthy habits. I became lazy, unfit, and out of alignment with myself—a far cry from the person I’d always been.
During this time I felt disconnected. I'd slip in and out of a meditation practice. My emotions were all over the place; I struggled to regulate. I wouldn't treat any clients during this time as I just wasn't my usual dynamic self - no one wants that nasty energy near them.
A few months ago, I decided it was time to take back control. I got back into a morning routine, did an extended fast to reset my eating habits, and most importantly, started listening to my body again. I haven't gone to the extremes that I used to, in fact, my meat-based / protein shake diet has been replaced by a mainly alkaline whole-food plant-based nutrition plan (if it's bright in colour, then it has a higher vibration). This feels more energising and in alignment. I'm doing "prison workouts" (mainly body-weight exercises), and the odd session at the gym. I'm prioritising rest.
The transformation has been nothing short of profound. My vitality is through the roof.
Here’s what I’ve noticed since focusing on my physical health again:
Meditation Feels Effortless: My mind is clearer, and I can tune into my intuition with ease.
Heightened Intuition: All my “spider senses” are sharper. I’ve noticed an increase in my ability to sense energy and align with my inner guidance.
Improved Cognition: Clean eating and regular movement have noticeably boosted my mental sharpness and focus.
Emotional Balance: I’m happier, less stressed, and no longer waking up at 4:30 a.m. feeling wired and tired.
Flexibility and Flow: Shifting from heavy weight training to more holistic movement, combined with an alkaline diet, has improved my physical flexibility and overall flow.
The Energy-Body Connection
Your physical body is your number one energetic tool. When it’s compromised—whether from poor posture, inflammation, muscle tension, a sedentary lifestyle, chronic fatigue, or stress—energy can’t flow freely. This doesn’t just impact your physical health; it directly affects your emotional resilience, mental clarity, and spiritual connection.
Think of it like this: if your body is sluggish, your mind will feel foggy, and connecting to higher states of consciousness becomes much harder. When you’re carrying the weight of poor habits or unresolved physical tension, it’s like trying to meditate with a brick on your chest. You’re distracted, disconnected, and stuck.
But when you start prioritising your physical health, everything changes. Your energy flows. Your emotions stabilise. Your spirit soars.
Looking back, I know from experience, every time that I have reached a physical "nirvana" my life changes rapidly. I can't wait to see what is coming in 2025.

What Does “Looking After Your Physical Health” Really Mean?
This isn’t about becoming a gym rat or obsessing over fitness trends. It’s about cultivating habits that honour your body as the sacred vessel it is. Here are some ways to get started:
Move Mindfully: Engage in movement that feels good for your body. Whether it’s yoga, walking, Pilates, or strength training, choose activities that enhance energy flow and leave you feeling grounded.
Fuel Your Body with Purpose: High-vibration foods—whole, plant-based, or minimally processed—nourish your body and elevate your energy. Avoid foods that leave you feeling heavy or drained. Research alkaline diet.
Rest and Rejuvenate: Sleep is critical for healing and integration. Chronic fatigue blocks energy flow and creates a cascade of physical and emotional challenges.
Listen to Your Body: Your body is always communicating with you. Tune in to its signals and honour what it needs—whether that’s rest, movement, or nourishment.
Detox Your Life: Remove toxins from your diet, environment, and even your mind. Unresolved emotions or toxic relationships can manifest physically, creating blockages that disrupt your energy.
Summary: Look After Your Meatsuit
The journey back to physical health hasn’t just transformed my body; it’s deepened my spiritual connection in ways I didn’t expect. I find it easier to meditate, to trust my intuition, and to stay aligned with my purpose. I’ve realised that looking after my physical health is one of the most spiritual things I can do because it sets the foundation for everything else.
You only get one body, one “meat suit” as I like to call it. How you care for it directly affects your ability to thrive—not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. So, the question is: how are you looking after yours?
